Metaphor maker

Lucas is a budding poet.  In addition to his "wine bottle" metaphor for his emotional explosions, here are two recent bits of eloquence:

1. Standing up tall in a lake this weekend with water up to his waist, Lucas announced regally: "This is my dress!", waving his arms around the water to indicate that he meant the whole surface of the lake was his dress.  Mama spotted a jetski and warned him: "That jetski is riding on your dress!"  "I know," he smiled.

2. Today driving down a winding road to Gallup park there was a long string of cars driving slowly in front of us.  "All the cars are like a snake, slithering down the road!"

There have been others; we'll try to jot them down as we remember them and as he comes up with new ones.

This proud grandma is continually amazed at the things that little boy comes up with.
