Seagulls are different
So said Lucas, as we watched them today hovering in the driving wind at the edge of the Petoskey beach, scanning the waves for whatever it is that they eat. I wondered what he was comparing them to.
D: Different from what?
L: That one has spots.

I think the coloring is due to maturity levels. Smart of him to notice!
I thought it was smart to notice, and also to figure out that it was worth mentioning...
