Monkey ropes

Luke is fascinated by the monkeys swinging on the ropes at the Zoo. We were just at Megan's house, and Daddy and Lucas took a hike in the woods behind her house. There was a big white rope tied across a couple of trees. (We have no idea why.) Luke ran over to it and tried to step on the rope.

D: What are you trying to do Luke?
L: On it.
D: You can't stand on them. They're not for standing on.
L: Monkeys! Swing.
D: Oh you want to swing on the ropes like the monkeys?
L: [pounding his chest like a gorilla] Ahhhh-eeehh-ahhhhh-oooooh-ahhhh!

At this point Luke ran around spastically grabbing the ropes and pretending to swing on them.
