Horse crazy

Actually farm animals in general. It's all he wanted to read tonight, starting with the fancy farm book with lots of textures and pull tabs that he used to read as a baby.



We moved on to a book about a moo cow who gets cownapped by space aliens that Jill checked out from the library, and finally he asked for his Cowboy Small book.

He wanted to ride all the animals in the books, including the goats and sheep.

L: I wanna ride THAT horse
D: Well, you could ride another horse, but that one's just a picture
L: I wanna ride THAT horse

We're going to Mackinac Island this weekend, where they don't allow cars, and I told him we'd see horses there. He wanted to know if there'd be cows too. Cows are a bit of an obsession right now. Three months ago at the petting farm a cow mooed in his ear and he still talks about it. It made him a little scared of cows

L: Cows on Mackinac island? [he almost pronounces it right!]
D: I don't know. We'll have to look
L: BIG cow? Cow moo?
