Happy Father's Day

Daddy had a fantastic father's day, thanks to mommy and Lucas.  Mommy made us a picnic lunch (including strawberry shortcake!) and we all rode our bikes up to the big park on the river to eat it.  We had an especially nice time watching the geese and their babies.

Luke did great in his bike trailer -- a good practice run for our trip to Mackinac Island next weekend, since there are no cars on the island; just bikes and horses.  When Luke woke up from his nap all three of us laid around on the bed to give Luke and mama a chance to wake up slowly.  (Mama had napped too, since she generously woke up with Luke this morning so daddy could sleep in.)  Eventually Luke started jumping up and down on the bed yelling "daddy! daddy!" and then deliberately falling down on me and bursting into laughter.  When we had finally tired of that game, we went to Top of the Park at the local Summer Festival and saw some music and lots of friends.
