Bus Ride

Last Sunday, Lucas had a life-changing experience. He got to ride the bus. You have to realize that when Luke sees a bus he does a happy dance, waves his arms in the air, and says "buh! buh!" as it goes by. So we (Jill & Lucas) got on the first bus of the morning at the stop a block from our house and rode down to Meijers. I set him down on a seat, and he just froze for several miles. Finally, when we were nearly there, he looked up at me earnestly and said "BUH!"

We spent an hour at Meijers waiting for the next bus home. Always plenty to do there - - we looked at the fish tanks, saw a real fire truck, ate a muffin together at Starbucks, and rode the penny horse. On the way home Lucas was more relaxed and smiled and babbled and had a really nice time. We may have to do it again tomorrow.
