Toddler

Yesterday was Luke's 15 month birthday, and Grandma Jackie tells us that according to some people that's when a baby becomes a toddler. Well, guess what: He was pretty late, but he definitely toddles now!

Our last post documented the first few steps. At that stage walking was just a game for him: He could take a couple of giggly steps from mom to dad and back again, but he still got around on all fours.

He made the transition from walking-as-game to walking-as-transportation a couple of weeks later. Ironically, it happened during a six-day visit to Grandma Sally's house while she was recuperating from knee surgery. Grandma got to watch Luke learn to walk day-by-day, while she was trying to get back to walking again herself.
