On Sunday morning at Meijers, Lucas helped pick out candles to go on Daddy's birthday cake. Grandma S and I explained that we could play a little trick on Daddy, and chose the kind that reignite a few seconds after you blow them out.
When we got home from the store, Luke burst into the kitchen and excitedly told David "We got you candles that after you blow them out they turn back on!"
So much for the surprise, but we all got a good laugh out of it.
