Tonight mom and dad (and our meat-loving friend Victor) went to the wild game dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. The babysitter went better than it did last time: It only took 10 minutes instead of 3o for him to stop crying after we left. This despite spending two days preparing him and enlisting daycare in the indoctrination program. "Mom and Dad will go out to dinner. Cassandra will watch you and you'll have fun! In the morning we'll tell you about our dinner, and you can tell us about all the fun you had with Cassandra!"
He seemed fine until Cassandra showed up. Then it became real, and he freaked out. "Don't go! Come back?! Be back? Don't go yet!" etc.
We promised to give him a kiss when we got home, even if he was asleep, and of course we did. He was sleeping like a baby.
