Reenactment

Yesterday we took the city bus downtown to visit the library. (We also wandered around downtown, looking at the fairy doors, hiding from each other in doorways, and watching a one-man band on the sidewalk; Luke even put a dollar in his tip jar.) While we were out we saw Luke's friend Lincoln doing pretty much the same thing with his family.

This morning, when Lincoln showed up at daycare, Luke heard him telling Christa about his bus trip. Apparently Luke walked up to Lincoln and started talking with him about the bus and the library. The teachers heard what Luke and Lincoln were talking about, so they brought out some toy buses during small group time.

Luke had fun playing with the bus. He put a toy person inside his toy bus and drove it over to the book basket in the next room, explaining "I at the library!"
