Two-year-olds have some weird grammatical habits. Luke is pretty good with pronouns now; he mostly says "me" and "you" in the appropriate contexts, with a few cute holdovers from an earlier age ("mama next to you!" he will say in the car, meaning that he wants mama to sit next to him). But he still overuses the phrase "I am" when he means "it's mine", "I do", etc. Here is the cutest example:
There is a page in this book where it says something like:
"Whose glasses are these?" "They're mine!" *
In Lucas-speak that becomes:
"Who who glasses?" "I am!"
And somehow that's the page that dominates the entire book for him. The book is mostly about the main character's new socks, but Luke seems to find the brief mention of his glasses much more interesting.
* OK, I just double-checked the book and it doesn't actually say that. It says "Notice anything different about me? Nope, not my glasses." So now I have no idea how he came to the conclusion that every page says "who who glasses? I am!" But I'm pretty confident of my translation from the Lucas-speak (coming soon to babelfish). Or maybe the entire premise for this post is faulty. Either way it's a cute video!

I think his interest in the glasses comes from the fact the OWL is wearing them! And "who who" is kind of like what the owl says - "whooooo whooooo".
Or does Lucas still like owls?
Just watched it again, and I'm not sure that's an owl.
Well, there goes my theory!
From his intonation you can tell he's definitely asking a question like "whose glasses?" and then answering it "I am!" Plus it's the kind of thing he has said in other contexts, so as I say in the post I'm pretty confident in my translation.
