The mystery of money revealed

This morning Lucas climbed onto the couch with me and found my wallet.

L: (smiling) My wallet!
D: Oh, really?
L: (takes out all the money) Money!
D: What is money for, Lucas?
L: Food.
D: Yes, we do use it to buy food.
L: Zingerman's!

I told this story to a colleague at lunch, and he archly suggested that that is exactly what business the U.S. Mint is in: Printing up Zingerman's gift certificates.
