Lucas wouldn't eat his salmon tonight so I tricked him.
His daycare friends Patrick and Ali and Ali's big brother Nicky are coming over for brunch tomorrow. He has been really excited about it all week.
Mama kept asking him over and over, "please Lucas, will you please try one bite of salmon -- for mama? I won't ask you to eat anymore if you'll just try one bite to see if you like it." No dice: "I don't like it."
Suddenly daddy got an idea. "Wouldn't your friends be impressed tomorrow if we could tell them that you ate FISH!?" A lightbulb went off in his head and he immediately ate a bite. "Especially a SLIPPERY fish!". More big bites. "We could even tell NICKY!" Chomp.
We'll have to remember to mention it tomorrow.

Well we told them about it and that's what matters. I think they were playing with toys at the time.
